It only started small, but then it just grew and grew

AUTOGLAZEIT was originally conceived in late 2006 as a basic job card and invoice system at the request of Stuart Sole who many in this industry know from both Allscreens in Leicestershire and of course NATIONWIDE WINDSCREEN SERVICES, the network of independent glass repairers and fitters. After more than 12 months of development the first version went on test and proved successful, if not fully featured at that time.
The software solution was introduced to a number of other companies who are prominent in the business and additional features were added, such as purchase ordering and stock control.
In the summer of 2007 the product went on general release and was welcomed by the independently owned companies, who were looking for cost effective ways to increase efficiency, reduce administration costs and improve profits.
AUTOGLAZEIT quickly became the best selling software in the UK for the independent windscreen replacement industry.

The directors at AUTOGLAZEIT have always taken the time to listen to the ideas and requests of their customers and soon these were coming in thick and fast. Too quickly to allow the developers to meet everyone’s request within a few days.
In early 2009, it was decided that a major update of the software was needed, so that all the excellent ideas, and even a few quirky ones, could be introduced.
AUTOGLAZEIT Version 2 was conceived and a 6 month development plan was formed. In this version we added the ability for the technicians to use a PDA device, improved customer flow handling, simpler purchase order processing, brokers & referrals and less cluttered yet more informative screens.
With the introduction of the software into Northern Ireland as well as commercial interests from the EU zone and further afield in Australia and New Zealand we added a full call centre operating system and multiple currency handling which are both available as options in Version 2.1.

AUTOGLAZEIT is now regarded as the best of breed solution for the windscreen replacement industry and is still owned by it’s original 3 directors who all work in the business. The company is totally dedicated to the product and the industry and will continue to listen to it’s customers, support them and continually strive to provide them an affordable, usable and relevant software solution, regardless of location or the size of their business .
